The main purpose of Sea Solid is modeling of a ship`s inner struture and prodution of documentation for the hull parts manufacturing. In addition such tasks as equipment , ship systems and pipelines arrangements can be solved.

Sea Solid is the system of formation of spatial solid-state models of a hull design and other elements of a vessel. The Sea Solid system works in a technological chain with Sea Solution and is used by naval architects and constructors engaged in designing of hull shape and internal struture and of vessels. The hull surfaces are transferred in Sea Solid in a DXF file format.

The reports generator.The system includes a database written on Microsoft Access and adjusted to the concrete user. The data exchange with the graphic editor is carried out on a dbf format. This database contains various correctness tests of assembled design, calculation of the material order, creation of various reports in Microsoft Word format. Due to preservation of the basic information on a design and details in a DBF format , the system is easily integrated in the software of shipyard or design bureau.

Tasks solved by Sea Solid

Sea Solid allows to simplify the work of the engineers, designers and technologists, providing high quality of designing of ship shell adequate to the modern requirements:

  • The automatic generating of three basic ship-building projections with frame spacing arrangements.
  • Designing and editing of forms and sizes of elements and assembly units of the ship`s hull, both in structure of integrated data model of the hull, and in structure of building units of a or block units.
  • Checking the ability of assembly and geometrical correctness of ship designs, definition of gaps between parts, definition of spaces sizes in compartments and opportunity to access units and elements of designs.
  • Calculating of the "weight - gravity" characteristics, for the whole constraction or any of separat part of it, according to density of materials.
  • Arrangement of the equipment, mechanisms, pipelines, etc.
  • Automatic generating of the specifications, material orders , profile sketches and other required working documentation.
  • Release of the working design documentation (assembly drawings of the units).
