Our product named SeaNest consist of two linked modules: UpNest.exe and UpEditor.exe. The purpose of UpNest is nesting, UpEditor purposed to product NC-files from dxf-files produced by UpNest or other program (e.g. AutoCad). What can do UpNest? You get your parts drawings in dxf-files, form nesting task (pointing number of each part, material grade, sheet dimensions) and then do autonesting. After computer automatically nest your parts, you can optimize nesting by very handy toolset. In the end you produce dxf-files for each nest or special file for whole nesting. After perform nesting, you do not need work for checking or adjusting, because checking and adjusting functions are implemented in nesting tools. After nesting is perform, your open dxf-files of the nests and work it in the UpEditor, forming cutting path for marking and cutting. After it is done, you save it in ESSI or ESAB formats. You can tune output format to satisfy NC formats of concrete manufacturer. Additionally you can edit existing NC-files, or convert NC-files from one format to anyone other. UP Editor - it is a very powerful and convenient tool for creating, editing and checking stationary cutting machines NC data-files. UP editor supports ESSI (ISO 6582) and EIA (RS-274D) standard's programs. Some UP editor main features in brief:
![]() The program Up Editor is dedicated to checking, editing, converting and developing of NC files. As input data for the program serve NC files in ESSI and EIA formats or cutting cards drawings in DXF format. To develop a NC file one need a cutting card drawing in DXF format. Marking lines, cutting lines and metal sheet contour must be on different layers. Sequence of passing of marking may be designate by program itself in automatic mode. Setting cutting trace one can assign different parameters for contour entry at corner and by tangent. It is possible to designate coincided cut. During designating of cutting path the program dynamically check possibility of making piercing or bridge in appointed point proceeding from fixed criteria. The program is provided with multilevel undoing. ![]()
In the editing mode one can correct NC files written following ESSI and EIA standards. It is possible to move and change parameters of pierces and bridges, delete and add them, change sequence of parts cutting. One can also to completely re-make cutting path. During editing NC file it is possible to look through (and edit also) its text in dedicated window, in that case marker position on the cutting card image and text cursor position in text window are synchronized. It is possible to automatically correct a NC file (delete small arc and line segments), to introduce implicit tool shift or tool deceleration commands. Check function allow to find in NC files such mistakes as crossings of cutting paths, cutting on some part area, piercing inside part area or too near to part side etc. For each NC file one can to get complete information concerning cutting process (cutting duration, cut length and others). ![]() Resulting NC files one can to output with translating them into ESSI or EIA standards taking into consideration particular features of NC codes of each shipyard. Required command codes as well as texts to be added to begin and/or end of a NC file are set in the dialog window
